The Maasai are the most well-known of East Africa's tribes.
Several villages in the Ngorongoro Area of Tanzania offer a cultural visit as a means to earn funds. Typically half the tourist fees are given to the general community and half the fees are paid to the participants of the 'traditional village'. All tourist purchases belong to the person who created the item thereby benefiting them directly. Photography is encouraged and is included in your experience.
